No More New High-Voltage Power Line Through Our Community

Community mobilizing and a new round of organizing against the plan to put a new power line through our community have been successful.

The Ontario Power Authority has just confirmed that there is no longer going to be any proposal to put a power line through our community. The community meeting previously scheduled for Tuesday, March 30, 2010 to oppose the proposal is now cancelled.

THANKS TO ALL THOSE WHO ORGANIZED, SPOKE OUT AND MADE THIS A BIG DEAL. IT IS NOW OVER.
