If you received an email from Canada Revenue Agency (CRA),  please be aware that the RCMP, municipal police services and the CRA itself are warning of a recent spate of scams timed near 2016 Tax deadlines throughout the country. Please be aware. Peter

Please be aware of letters from the Canada Revenue Agency that looks like the one presented below:

Dear Taxpayer,You have chosen your taxes modified remotely via the Internet and we thank you. According to the latest calculations of your income taxes, we have determined that you are eligible to receive a refund from us for an amount of 651.44 $. What are the steps to follow for my refund ? The refund can be delayed for various reasons. For example, submitting invalid records or applying after the deadline can cause the refund to be delayed. We urge you to update your personal Information details, so that your refund is made as soon as possible. It should be noted that processing your situation shall take no longer than 3 working days.
