QUEEN'S PARK — Interim Ontario NDP Leader Peter Tabuns and NDP Health critic France Gélinas are calling on Doug Ford to end his pursuit of privatization in Ontario's health care system. In a letter to Ford released Monday, Tabuns and Gélinas warn that Ford's move to send surgeries to private for-profit clinics won't solve the staffing shortage-fueled crisis plaguing hospitals across the province — it will make it worse. In place of Ford's scheme, the NDP is putting forward a series of solutions, including offering competitive wages and incentives to health care workers.
