This summer, Toronto has seen a flurry of activity from anti-abortion protestors using gruesome and disturbing images on flyers and displaying placards on major streets in our area.
Alongside my colleagues Toronto City Councillors Paula Fletcher (Ward 30), Mary Fragedakis (Ward 29) and TDSB Trustee Jennifer Story (Ward 15), I'll be hosting a public meeting this Thursday to discuss our letter to the Wynne government and the Attorney General calling for an injunction against these images. We'll also be discussing other ways that we can take action together and protect children and adults who would be traumatized by distribution or display of these images in our community.
